Patience

Being patient is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. Especially when you know that God has given you a promise or a vision for your life, your family, or your heart.

Why is being patient so hard?

If God is a good father, loves us, and wants the best for us, why do we have to wait to receive what he has promised?

If we have been patient so far and have done the work – pray, meditate, plant good seeds, love others, generous, etc . . . Why do we have to wait SOOO long for our husband? Wife? New job? More Money? More peace?

Well, I’ve learned there are two reasons for this . . .

💥 It’s not the season to receive. Lev. 26:4 & Deut. 11:14 – God will send the rain in its due season on your land, in the place where you have planted your seeds, tilled the ground, and have done the work. And when the season is right, and you’re positioned properly (on your land, not on someone’s else land, vision, dream, or promise), you will see a harvest.

This is also why God tells use not to grow weary on doing good.

💥 You have to grow. Even when God sends the rain, the harvest doesn’t just pop up out the ground instantaneously. There is growth that must be done. And that growth is done under the surface – invisible to the naked eye. And once the seed has grown under the surface and  the roots are good and deep so that it is rooted, grounded, unmoveable , then you’ll see the harvest.

So, be patient my friend. Don’t give up. I know it’s hard. I know it’s tiring. I know it can get discouraging. But remember that just because you don’t see anything happening on the surface doesn’t mean nothing’s happening under the surface.
